Hey there... I've been quite busy lately... Maybe i would say, it's mostly beacause of choir... We've been practicing almost every week.... And now at last we are free... No choir practice until 27th December.... Yuhoooo.... Actually 27th December is not really a practice, it's just a commitee meeting day... So yupe... Now can really enjoy the holiday, but not for long.... Got to study .... Mr.Lim has been putting alot of pressure on the commitee members... But the thing is the commitee is not working together.... So it's kinda difficult to sought things out... I really wish that the commitee can be more united and help one an other... In that way we can get more things done, and get less scolding from Mr.Lim...
The physics project has been going quite OK... But, i still have not come up with the poster design.... All my creative juice has been evaporated off..... :(Right now i'm just looking forward to the concert happening in esplanade on 4th Decmber... The whole choir is going.... So i guess it will be fun.... But i still don't know what i'm going to where....... OMG.... Someone please help.....
I've not posted for a long time... Kinda busy.... Had to do research on physics project and at the same time focus on my studies and tutor my cousin sister with her science.... Though she's 10 coming December, she's going Pri 5 next year... Recently i came across her sience results and i was shocked.... It was very bad.... So i've decided to teach her these holidays.... She'd better get good results next year....Two days ago, i celebrated my Brother's 24th birthday... It was kinda bored because only my mum and i sang birthday song for him... There was no one else at home.... However, i hope that he appreciate what we did for him.... Though my second brother wasn't there, we shared money and bought him his favourite ice cream " Ben and Jerry"... It was kinda expensive though.... $11.50 for just a small tub.... Nevertheless,
At Last i managed to find a topic for my physics project.... To me it's kinda interesting... I read most of my classmates' blogs... And they are about reflection, rarefraction, light, sports and stuff too... They are interesting topics but if evryone does the same thing it won't be interesting anymore... Thus, i've decided to do one MAGNETISM.... I've always wondered how some iron get attrcted to some other metal stuff... What are the forces related to this....? So i guess th is will be my topic.... Not really confirm.... Might change.....
Today was quite a lovely day... Early in the morning when to temple to pray... Gave out food, it gave me a sense of happines and relief... Came back home and when for tuition, she started differentiation... It was quite easy...But a little tricky... Haven't started on the Physics project... Can't think of any interesting topic... Most of you guys did on reflection and refraction... So i'm kinda blank now... Hope that new ideas would come along this holiday... For now that's all..... :)
I have always wondered about how the pyramids were built... But no one seems to know the answer... However, i found this article on the net and the reasons given are quite interesting... Read on...The Great Pyramid is the only survivor out of all seven ancient wonders. Located in Ciaro, Egypt, the pyramid still amazes thousands of scientists and guest's each year.
The Great Pyramid is believed to have been built over a 20 year span. The pyramid is so huge and so perfect we wouldn't be able to construct something in this day and age that will compare. Each giant Stone ranges from 1 to 20 tons in weight, and the Great Pyramid consisted of well over 100,000 stones. But the Egyptians had no machinery, engines, or construction equipment. So the question still lurks, who built the great pyramids?
Theories suggest the Egyptians built these pyramids, but this asks us how Egyptians hauled 20 ton stones and placed them perfectly Hundreds Of Feet high (145.75 m, 481 ft high).. Some suggest they built a ramp with stones that went from the ground to the top.
The flaw in that theory is that It would take More Rocks to build the ramp than it would to build the Pyramid. When the Pyramid was done, where did these rocks go??? So that shoots down that theory...
Another question is How did they move these rocks.. Experts that insist Egyptians built the Pyramid suggest, Trees were cut down and smoothed off, and were used as giant rollers under these 20 ton rocks. If you would roll a 20 ton rock on 5 trees, The tree would be too worn down and awkward to haul another, so these logs would be replaced every Stone. Due to the fact there are over 100,000 stones that make up the pyramid, you would need an excess of a half million trees..
Problem with this theory is the lack of trees in that area. Egypt grows some Date Trees, that's about it. And they certainly wouldn't cut down all their date trees, for dates are one of the main foods in EGYPT!
Now the Great Pyramid was the biggest and tallest of all the Pyramids ever built. Since the Egyptians left us an entire detailed written summary of every event in Egypt imaginable, You would think the building of the greatest Pyramid would be discussed. But it Isn't. The Pyramid was referred to a few times in very early Hieroglyphics. Egyptian writing suggests the Great Pyramid Was Standing Before Egyptians Populated The Land. Ancient hieroglyphics have detailed writings of farming, giving birth, Pharaoh worship, Hunting, Building Structures, etc, BUT the Building Of The Great Pyramid Was Never Mentioned.
If it took 10,000 workers per month over a 20 year span to build the Pyramid like experts suggest, There wouldn't be enough people in a 500 mile radius to make this possible.
Actually ancient Egyptian writing often talk of beings from the sky, the sky opening and bright lights coming down to teach them technology and give them wisdom. Many pictures and symbols resemble ufo's and aliens. POSSIBLY aliens built the Great Pyramid. And these solid long lasting construction techniques were adopted by the Egyptians. This is it... Do anyone of you beleive that "the sky really opened and bright lights coming down to teach" the Egyptians "technology and give them wisdom"???
